Both won hearts and minds (and policy change) by lifting up the leadership of those most affected by injustice. The organizations in our Groundwork Project have been making the news lately! One such group is POWER (Parents Organizing for Welfare and Economic Rights). POWER’s hard work translates into hundreds of hours that parents are able to spend with their young children, without risking losing the benefits they receive from the state—a great triumph for both parents and children! VOTE Group Makes History in Montana
On Tuesday, April 13th, Missoula became the first city in Montana to offer protections to the LGBTQ community in housing, employment, and public accommodations. The historic vote came after months of smart and courageous campaigning by the Montana Human Rights Network (MHRN), and allies. Read more about MHRN's journey to this victory.
