Parents Organizing for Welfare and Economics Rights  (POWER) is a coalition of individuals and welfare rights groups organized to empower people on welfare to effect positive change in their lives, the welfare system and other institutions that impact their lives. POWER's goal is to change the welfare system so that it treats welfare recipients fairly and with dignity.
