Deborah Scott

Deborah Scott is the Executive Director of Georgia Strategic Alliance for New Directions and Unified Policies (Georgia STAND-UP). She has more than 25 years of unique professional experience in the civil rights community, progressive coalition politics, political empowerment, City of Atlanta and State of Georgia governments, labor unions, and the non-profit sector. Mrs. Scott founded Stand-Up’s brother organization, Georgia Trade-UP, a pre-apprenticeship and workforce development non-profit organization currently working with Georgia Building Trades affiliates to develop a green training component which will include weatherization and retrofit construction.

Mrs. Scott is a seasoned political operative, a trainer and strategist. She has served as a national political consultant, campaign and project manager, and organizational development trainer for progressive organizations and small businesses. She currently serves on the National Executive Board of Directors for the Partnership for Working Families.
