Marcy Bowers

Marcy Bowers is Membership and Communications Coordinator at Poverty Action.

Marcy Bowers began as a volunteer with Poverty Action in 2001 and joined the staff in 2005. She has recruited and managed volunteers, led grassroots outreach, coordinated the People’s Summit and March, led the 2008 Vote For A Change campaign, and staffed the national Equal Voice for America’s Families campaign. Marcy now serves as Poverty Action's Membership and Communications Coordinator, where she works to increase active membership among low-income people across the state. She has worked and volunteered in the social justice movement in Seattle, Texas and Central America. Marcy received her B.A. in Psychology and Women’s Studies from the University of Washington.
