Scot Nakagawa is an organizational development consultant with The Consortium for Change. The Consortium is a Seattle-based firm providing consultation in the areas of strategic planning, communications strategy, program development, meeting facilitation, campaign planning, social research, and fundraising with a special focus on advancing the cause of racial justice. Scot has over 30 years of experience in the social justice sector. He created the Fight the Right program of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and later served the Task Force as Field Director. Scot also served as Executive Director of the MRG Foundation, Associate Director of the Western Prison Project (Partnership for Safety and Justice) and as Education Co-Coordinator and Development Strategist of the Highlander Research and Education Center in New Market, TN. Scot most recently served as Interim Executive Director and Grants and Program Director of Social Justice Fund Northwest (SJFNW). In addition, Scot is a former Board Chair of Western States Center.
