Shahid Haque-Hausrath

Shahid Haque-Hausrath founded the Montana chapter of the Border Crossing Law Firm.

Shahid Haque-Hausrath founded the Montana chapter of the Border Crossing Law Firm in 2008, dedicating his practice to helping immigrants obtain legal status in the United States.  Mr. Haque-Hausrath works closely with the Montana Legal Services Association, is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, serves on the Helena International Affairs Council, and is vice-chair of the Montana Human Rights Network board. Mr. Haque-Hausrath represents clients in both Immigration and Federal Court, assisting with application processes and providing representation with immigration-related arrests. Mr. Haque-Hausrath has won asylum and cancellation of removal for refugees who fled from their home countries to escape torture, persecution, and death on account of their political beliefs. In 2009, Mr. Haque-Hausrath was the recipient of the Neil Haight Pro Bono Award.
