In this workshop we will introduce you to key allies in the land of community-based research. Learn tools and common ground for mapping inequalities, the fault lines of injustice, and community assets for political and economic empowerment. We’ll provide an overview for navigating the US Census website, including the pitfalls. Learn what GIS (Geographic Information Systems) can mean for you and where to find data that might be just what you need to build an irrefutable case for change.
