Building Political Power

Our civic engagement program is built on the belief that by organizing their members as voters underserved and marginalized communities can move from being legislated about to becoming equal partners and leaders in governing and community structures.

SPAN_MarcyOur Building Political Power Program is built on the belief, that by organizing their members as voters, underserved and marginalized communities can move from being legislated about to becoming equal partners and leaders in governing and community structures.

A movement building approach to electoral organizing means community members work together to understand how the issues they care about are affected at the ballot box and to make their voices heard, not just on Election Day, but every day.

Our Building Political Power projects and initiatives include:

We build alliances among community, environmental, labor, social justice and other public interest organizations to develop common strategies for addressing vital public policy issues.
