Gender Justice
Intro to our Gender Justice Program
The Gender Justice Program is about addressing sexism, heterosexism, transgender oppression, reproductive justice, and family security in the context of racial and economic justice. We use a movement-building approach to strengthen the capacity of organizations dedicated to LGBTQ equality, reproductive justice, and family security. The groups we work with focus on both cultural and institutional change.
Our current projects and initiatives are:
Uniting Communities
Our Uniting Communities Project brings together racial justice and LGBTQ equality.
Movement Building
Through our partnerships with various coalitions we expand our work nationally and regionally and toward building a larger movement.
Uniting Communities: National Training & Dialogue
UC: National Training and Dialogue is an event to launch out UC: National Partner Project. In 2010-2010 we will work with four to six groups based in communities of color to advance LGBTQ equality within their organizations and their communities.
Uniting Communities: The Toolkit and Enlazando Comunidades: El Juego De Herramientas
Our Uniting Communities Project brings together racial justice and LGBTQ equality. We have developed a 0ver 200-page toolkit in English and Spanish.
Groundwork
