CSTI is a skills building event for leaders and staff of organizations committed to a society free from racism, sexism, homophobia, economic exploitation and all other forms of oppression. CSTI trains organizers working on economic, social and environmental justice, human rights and community development in both urban and rural communities.

I love this conference because I leave so hopeful at what's possible, what's happening, and meet wonderful people, get useful information and know that whatever comes up, it will be worked through with respect and consciousness.

The event was fantastically organized and the workshops were well rounded with great trainers. I enjoyed the variety of workshops, trainers and participants.

The quality of all the workshops and plenaries was great. I was also impressed by the smooth handling of so many people with no major hitches—the responsiveness of Western States Center staff was impressive.
The full day format for workshops is excellent. The interactive nature of the workshops enabled me to learn from other participants as well as the knowledgeable trainers and also helped me to network with other activists.
