  • Rural
  • Disabled
  • Youth
  • Queer, gay, lesbian, bi and trans
  • Immigrant and Refugee
  • Women

How to apply:

Send an email with your name, address, daytime phone number and organization you are affiliated with to amandam@wscpdx.org with "Work Trade, your last name" in the subject header. In the body of the email, please include the following:

1. Explain how your work meets the above priorities.

2. When do you prefer to do your Work Trade? Please list specific days and times.

Options include, but aren't limited to:

  • CSTI evenings, 5:30 to 7:30 pm. Two evenings = one workshop. Please note you may miss some evening programs on these days.
  • During workshop hours, for participants not planning to attend all three days of workshops.

3. Are you already being considered for a CSTI scholarship from Western States Center through your organization?

4. If we are unable to use you as a Work Trade Volunteer, will you still be able to attend CSTI?

Scholarships to CSTI 2007

Western States Center offers limited scholarship funds to help organizational representatives attend the Community Strategic Training Initiative (CSTI). These awards are partial and we regret that we are unable to fund all requests.

The Center has already notified those organizations that are eligible for scholarship consideration this year. For those that are current grantees of the following organizations, we suggest seeking additional funding through them:
