- The Asian & Pacific Islander Women and Family
Safety Center works to prevent violence against
women through community organizing and education;
providing safe, culturally relevant services for
women, youth and children; and creating housing
resources for families who face domestic and sexual
violence, and victimization from human trafficking
in Asian and Pacific Islander communities. |
CASA
Latina - CASA Latina is dedicated to
empowering Latino immigrants through educational
and economic opportunities, helping many immigrants
learn the skills and get the jobs that they need
to lift themselves and their families out of poverty. |
Communities
Against Rape and Abuse - A group of
activists in the Seattle area banded together in
August 1999 to create an organization that would
undermine the root causes of sexual violence. By
January 2000, these activists established Communities
Against Rape and Abuse (CARA), an organization spearheaded
by survivors marginalized from mainstream sexual
assault services. |

Coalition for Environmental Justice
- CCEJ's mission is to achieve environmental and
economic justice in low-income communities and communities
of color, a mission rooted in the belief that everyone,
regardless of race or income, has the right to a
clean and healthy community. |

- Comité is a non-profit grassroots Latino
organization, which struggles to achieve comprehensive
immigration reform for all working immigrants and

Rights Washington - Equal Rights Washington
(ERW) is a statewide political advocacy organization
for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender
(LGBT) community of Washington State. ERW works
to end discrimination against LGBT people throughout

Free Zone - Hate Free Zone advances
the fundamental principles of democracy and justice
at the local, state and national levels by building
power within immigrant communities, in collaboration
with key allies. |

American Voters Alliance - The Korean
American Voters Alliance (KAVA) is dedicated to
empowering the political unity of Korean Americans
in Washington State. |
Legacy
of Equality, Leadership and Organizing
- LELO is a 33-year-old racial and economic justice
workers' rights 501c3 nonprofit organization. As
an organization led by ordinary workers, LELO develops
the leadership of those most marginalized in our
society: people of color, working class women, recent
immigrants and LGBTQ (lesbian/ gay/ bisexual/ transgender/
queer) workers. LELO's primary social change strategy
is local organizing, with a heavy emphasis on political
education and networks of solidarity with workers
across the globe. |

Assistance Center helps groups to enhance their
internal capacities by providing culturally competent
training and mentoring for organizations' staffs
and leaders. NAC's mission is to empower communities

Youth Center - Spokane's Odyssey Youth
Center works with lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender
and questioning youth and their allies to provide
a safe place, education and advocacy to promote

Seattle Young People's Project is a youth-led, adult
supported organization that empowers youth (ages
13-18) to express themselves and to take action

Poverty Action Network - Poverty Action

Washington. Poverty Action is the state's largest
and most diverse network of people influencing decisions
in the state capitol to ensure everyone can have

is a coalition of individuals and welfare rights
groups organized to empower people on welfare to
effect positive change in their lives, the welfare
