Growing from Groundwork: Stories & Tools from the Reproductive Justice Movement
A resource to help organizations to start conversations that would identify needs related to reproductive justice.
In the Pacific Northwest, five organizations based in communities of color surveyed 600 community women across three states. These organizations working in South Asian, Asian Pacific Islander, African immigrant/refugee, and Latina communities wanted to know more about how their members and constituents were dealing with reproductive justice issues such as domestic violence, child birth, culturally competent care, birth control and sexuality.
Growing From Groundwork: Stories and Tools from the Reproductive Justice Movement is a new publication that documents the lessons learned through these surveys. It includes the actual survey used by these groups. If you are considering doing community surveys or research, Growing From Groundwork is a must-read. It will save you time and heartache and will help you create a better survey to advance your goals.
