Western State Strategies, the 501(c)(4) affiliate of Western States Center, has established the Committee for Progressive Renewal (CPR). CPR is a political action committee in the State of Oregon that aims to revive progressive values in state politics, while enabling Oregon residents to make the most effective use of their tax credits through our electoral entity.

As we enter into the 2008 election cycle, CPR will be poised to respond to discriminatory initiatives and support efforts to expand civil rights. We will work with others to fight attacks and defend methods of increasing accountability and opportunities for participation in politics.
