Idaho Business Resources

In Partnership with Trans Affirm

Practical resources for Idaho businesses supporting trans employees, patrons, artists, and visitors.

With HB752 now in effect, many Idaho businesses are navigating new legal requirements while working to maintain welcoming spaces for employees, patrons, artists, and visitors. This page brings together practical guidance, trusted legal resources, and ready-to-use tools to help businesses understand the current legal landscape, prepare staff, communicate clearly, and respond thoughtfully.

Understanding HB752

What is HB752?

HB752 is Idaho's restroom law affecting government buildings and places of public accommodation. The law creates new requirements around certain sex-designated restrooms and changing facilities, creating new challenges for businesses while disproportionately impacting transgender Idahoans.

Businesses may have questions about implementation, staff responsibilities, customer interactions, and how to continue fostering welcoming spaces. The resources below are designed to help answer those questions.

Current Legal Status

HB752 is currently the subject of ongoing federal litigation. On June 16, 2026, a federal court issued a preliminary injunction blocking enforcement of significant portions of the law while the case moves forward.

Because litigation is ongoing and the State has announced its intent to appeal, the legal landscape may continue to change. Businesses should rely on trusted legal resources for the most current legal information.

TAKE ACTION

Arts & Culture Business Sign-On Letter

Businesses play an important role in creating welcoming community spaces.

Western States Center, together with coalition partners, is coordinating a sign-on letter for Idaho's arts and culture sector, inviting businesses to publicly affirm their commitment to welcoming trans employees, patrons, artists, and visitors.

Culture is at the heart of a healthy democracy. The places where people gather—restaurants, bars, breweries, coffee shops, bookstores, music venues, galleries, theaters, festivals, and other community gathering spaces—are where relationships are built, ideas are exchanged, and communities take shape. That's why this campaign focuses on the businesses and organizations that help create those spaces every day.

Businesses signing on commit to:

Calling on Idaho leaders to represent the will of Idahoans—not private, hateful interests.

Protecting welcoming spaces by displaying clear, accurate, and inclusive restroom signage.

Speaking out against HB 752 and future laws that threaten Idaho's arts and culture sector.
